Privacy Policy

Last Opened keeps your opened-cycle data on your device.

Effective date: June 19, 2026. This policy covers the current version of Last Opened as a local-first tracker for personal items that age after opening.

Summary

Last Opened is designed to work without an account. The app stores your items, opened cycles, and reminder settings locally on your device.

Information Last Opened stores

The app stores the information you enter so it can track your opened-item cycles:

  • Item names, templates, and notes
  • Opened dates, replacement history, and use counts
  • Reminder preferences for local notifications
  • Basic app settings needed for the app to function on your device

How that information is used

Last Opened uses your data only to show your current cycles, history, and optional replacement reminders inside the app.

What Last Opened does not do

  • It does not require an account.
  • It does not sell your data.
  • It does not use third-party advertising SDKs.
  • It does not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
  • It does not sync your item data to a remote server in the current version.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, Last Opened schedules local notifications on your device so you can remember when an item is due for replacement. Notification permission is optional and only matters if you choose to use reminders.

Data sharing

The current version of Last Opened does not share your opened-cycle data with third parties because it does not send that data to external services.

Children's privacy

Last Opened is not directed to children under 13, and the app does not knowingly collect personal information from children through a remote service.

Policy changes

If a future version adds cloud sync, purchases, analytics, crash reporting, support forms, or any other external data flow, this policy will need to be updated before that version is released.

Contact

If a public support channel is added later, this page will be updated with the contact method. Until then, this privacy policy is published to satisfy the current App Store review requirement for a public privacy policy URL.
